Jakob Ryce is a writer and poet whose work has appeared in On The Premises, Drunk Monkeys and The Fourth River, and has received recognition in the Wyndham Writing Awards.

He studied literature and creative writing at Swinburne University in Melbourne and works as an English teacher. His debut poetry collection was published in 2021.

He is currently nearing the end of a speculative fiction project developed over almost a decade, while also working on a second poetry collection and several other novels. His writing often explores memory, identity, technology, loss, displacement and the ways people adapt to uncertain worlds.
